CHECK GEAR BOX LIGHT

One of our Customers:

My ignition was dead but the dashboard would light up, including 'checkgearbox'. A nearby stranger came over and jostled the positive battery connections - problem solved! The problem recurred several times, but everytime it could be fixed in the same way. Finally I disassembled the battery clamp and wire-brushed everything (seems to related more to the 'secondary'exposed wire that is clamped to the primary wire connector). Since then, no problems. Remember to remove the negative lead before playing with the positive lead!
