I was replacing the fuel pressure regulator and the fuel line that runs between it and the fuel rail due to a leak. At the end of the rail was a banjo bolt that has a cap on it that I assume comes off to pressure test. My problem is that it snapped in two and appears to have been bonded together rather than one piece. Has anyone else ran into this problem? Also, I can not seem to find an exact replacement for this weird thing, so if I use a regular banjo bolt so I can seal it up and drive it, will that be okay? I assume it would but wanted to see if anyone else had had this happen to them and get advice on how they fixed it.
Secondly, the insulating foam sleeve that covers the vac tubing running from the PVC valve across the top of the engine is pretty rotted out. I can not find an OE duplicate, has anyone found a foam replacement that works? |
