| Hello all. I've got a 1989 Saab 900s, a little 4 cyl. 5-speed and I'm looking for help. I'm driving the other day and I'm slowing down to make a turn and all of a sudden the car starts decelerating a bit faster than I'm used to. I then hear a crunch/pop noise. The gear box locks up and the car continues to make a loud clicking noise. Later on, the gear box loosened up and I could shift it but the car was as if it was in neutral. No pickup or anything, would stall as tried to accelerate. Even in neutral the car made the noise when I pushed it. A friend thinks it may be the CV joint. Any suggestions/diagnosis? It sounds like it's a problem near the passenger side wheel. |
