Hi All,
I have been looking at the forums for several months and this is my first post. I have a 1999 Saab 9-5 with the B235E engine. It has thrown a connecting rod or something else and is dead. Can I replace this engine with a 2000 B235E engine? I know the pcv might need to be adapted but that's it right? I have found a used 2000 engine with only 50K and want the lowest miles on any used engine.
Any input will help a lot.
thanks, |

I am also interested in other used engines such as the B235A, B235L etc. for other model years. Will these engines work in my 1999 9-5 with E as the 8th digit on the VIN? I am ok with making some small modifications on the vaccuum lines or PCV line but do not want to have to change out the engine control module or have it throwing up CEL codes because the engine will not talk with my car.
thanks again, |
