A couple of days ago my wife and I were going to San Antonio Texas to enjoy the River walk. We have just retired, and thought it would be fun. It's about a thousand miles round trip. taking the 2001- 95. A real dream to drive. We live in Amarillo Texas. About 40 miles east of SA on I-10 when the car quit. Just like that didn't run anymore. So we sat on the side of the road for a minute. didn't really know where we were or anyone in the area. Tried the car and it fires up. Got about a mile and again... I have a leatherman in my shaving kit. That's all the tools I had other than the jack in the car. What I did have was the phone number to these guys!at SAABSITE.COM I called explained and there was really nothing they could do from where they were~except~~ in their bank of phone numbers they found a saab dealer in the area. Called it the guy informed me they don't sell saabs work on saabs or have parts for Saabs anymore at all. But he did think the cadillac dealer had a Saab tech working there.Got that number and asked for a service manager. Young lady answered the phone. I told her what my delima was and she very pleasantly gave ma a number to a wrecker to come get us and have the car brought to her dealership. Said she would make it a priority case and have the Saab tech waiting for it. Also told us they would have us a loaner car to use until our Saab was fixed! Everything happened just as she said the car was fixed the second day (had to order a crank position sensor. next day service) What was about to become a major disaster was a small inconvience due to having the number for these guys. THANK YOU SAABSITE( I think the guy I spoke with was Mark. Not sure.)the trouble was just what you said to have checked and because of your dedication to Saabs we were able to locate real help when we had no idea where to try. thank you
