Hi all, Do anyone know how to turn off the Low Washer Fluid alert on the SID on a 1999 95 SE 4cyl. I’ve filled the washer fluid bottle and the warning won't go away. I thought all I had to do was fill the bottle and that would be it. I've tried the clear button on the SID, I disconnected and reconnected the battery, I unplugged the SID, I removed the fuse for the pumps, and I even raised the car and checked the connections at the bottle. Did I miss something? Did anyone else ever have this problem? And how do I solve it? Yes this is the first time I had to fill the bottle; I recently purchased the car at auction.

Another problem I have on the same car. I changed the Trunk Lid and hooked up all the wiring all the lights work but I can’t get the Trunk to open when I push the trunk release button. It seems that no power is getting to the mechanism and I rechecked all my connections I even installed the original trunk lid module from the original lid the new lid replaced. Do I have to reset something for this to work? it worked fine before the switch.

FYI just this week I repaired coolant resevoir sensor on my daughter's 9000 & it's possible your washer fluid sensor would be similar. Remove resevoir & clean thoroughly ensuring no sediment or slime is left in the bottom. (Coolant resevoir has a metal washer in it that slides up & down; when all the way down it must make contact with the sensor completing a circuit.) Then check the wiring. (9000's wiring was missing 1.5 inches of it's insulation leaving two wires touching; I split shrink tubing to cover wires & coated with liquid tape) Tested perfectly!
