I have just had my 1998 93 serviced and now its hard to start, mostly when cold but some other times as well. It will eventually start but turns over 5-10 times before starting.
Before getting it serviced it would start after 1 or 2 turns, I took it back to the mechanic and left it with him for the day but of course it started straight away each time he tried, so he says there's nothing he can do??
I wonder if its a choke issue - any ideas?? |

My problem is starting when the engine is WARM! It will start from -cold- with the first turn of the key. It will run for hundreds of miles with no problems at all. But when I switch off it's a pig to restart.
One way that -sort of works is to turn the ignition on, leave it for at lease a full minute, then try starting. It will eventually start but I sometimes have to go through the above six or seven times (7x1.5 = 10.5 minutes) to get it going..Not much good as a Getaway Car??
Any ideas |
