Have a 99 9-3 Convertible.
Had to replace lines to my oil cooler. Wound up spreading the job over a couple of days...pulled the old stuff & drained system one day. Put lines back on the next, filled oil up later, cranked up the next day.
Drove it around the neighborhood a couple of times, engine started fine and would idle, but once I started driving it, each time I would come to a stop it would stall out. Would start and idle fine, but wouldn't idle after driving.
Tried again today and ran perfect. After about 3 miles, the first time going up a hill and accelerating, engine bogged down and died (started to rattle a little bit). Seemed to correspond to first time turbo really engaged. Each time I started it and ran, it acted like the day before bogging and stalling, and having a progessively worse rattling coming from the engine. |
