SB...i had to change profile...old profile was dburwell7...I'm at a loss...

okay...I have replaced the DIC, the crankshaft sensor, car battery and the batteries for my keys...still have a starting problem. It almost always occurs after I have driven the car turn it off, come back short time later and it won't start, won't even click. Wait an hour or so and it fires right up.

is it possible that my water pump is not functioning properly, causing the engine to get too warm, which would then make the crank sensor prevent the car from starting? I ask because today I squeezed the hoses and they seemed very soft...did not appear to be much fluid in the hoses (while the engine was running)...and the engine gets warm pretty quick...I do have a small leak in the water pump...which I am reluctant to try myself since its so hard to access

do you have the part number for the switch on top of the transmission? is this easily replaced?

at the risk of sounding stupid, is the transmission next to the left front wheel? so tight in there I can't tell...and I'm not used to a rotated motor...is the switch you reference visible from top side under the hood?

I've had this issue numerous times. I've fixed it with a bottle of water. Pour it over the connection on top of your transmission (I just aim it there with little precision). Every time I've done this, the car starts right up. Without it, I could wait hours.

I haven't had a mechanic able to diagnose yet, but it's not the CPS or the NSS. It's electrical in nature. The car always starts if I'm going long distances and turn it off, but not if I'm going a mile to the grocery store. I used to think it hated Acme, but it's not fond of the bank, either. Laughing
