The dashboard instrument lights and the Saab Information Display will not turn off even when the ignition is off and the key removed. It stays on all night and drains the battery. This has been going on for three days. Can anyone suggest what may be going on with this? Car is a 2005 9-3 with only 17,000 miles on it.
Thank you, Jim |

| I have the same problem with a 2003 9-3 Arc with about 30,000 miles. If you find a solution, please let me know. I will do the same. It may be a switch, but I have no idea what switch it would be or wiring diagrams to trace. Thanks. Dan |

This happened to me once, funny enough it was after driving in the rain with the top down (don't ask)
The next day it went back to normal, I figured it was some kind of super secret saab ability for drying itself off |

| This happened to me once last year, solution: disconnect the battery, wait 10 seconds, reconnect the battery. I think it has something to do with hard re-setting the car computer. Anyway, it helped, never happened since. Good luck! |

I've got weird things happening with my 9-3 (2004). The SID freezes up when I try to view the SID selections. It shuts off the radio and causes the dash lights to shut off including preventing all selection buttons (nightmode, dimmer control, etc) from working. I've disconnected the battery cable and when it resets it works for a few seconds and then freezes up again.
All fuses check out fine. Any ideas? |
