| I have a headlight issue and was wondering if anyone could explain it in more depth for me, perhaps someone with access to wiring diagrams. I recently started fixing little problems with my 95 9000 Aero after it has sat for about 2 years. Headlights are one of these many little problems. My lights worked a few days ago except when I turned on high beams only the passenger side worked. I removed the drivers side high beam light bulb and noticed on the connector, one of the pins was burnt looking. I pulled out my multimeter (comparing my results to the passenger side) and tested for continuity to the rest of the pins as well as the connector that plugs into the headlight wiper motor. There was continuity to most of these other wires that were ultimately part of the same wire bundle, the other side had no continuity to these other wires. I removed the headlight switch to tinker and when I put it back in, no headlights at all! When I put the headlight switch to the center position with the car off and key removed the dash lights turn on?? And with the car on when I switch between the far right position and the center position I can hear the headlight relay under the hood as well as the flasher relay under the dash clicking. I have already ordered the relays and switches and will let you all know what happens, but if anyone has an insight to this and can provide me with a usefull explanation it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, I am a long time reader of this forum and this is my first post. |

| There is a headlight relay fix if your handly with a soldering iron, mine had the same issues when i bought it, found the write up and followed it and saved me a load of cash, all the problem is on the headlights is the big red relay, the pins come un-soldered in the relay, just pull it apart and resolder them to the board. as for the turn signal, thats a different thing prolly switch. |
