| Hey ... looking for instructions on how to replace lights illuminating manual tempature/ACC controls ... they're DARK while all others are LIGHTED at night - I figure it's probably lights that are out vs. fuses ... 2004 Saab 9-3 Automatic 4D Sedan ... Thanks!! |

mighty,
Did this fix your problem? I have the same issue...My 04 93 just had the lights on the manual heater, fan, a/c buttons go dark. All other dash lights are still working. Was it as simple as you thought? |

| Thanks for the part number. How do I get at the bulb? I tried gently prying on the panel section that surrounds these controls, and all controls seemed to want to come forward too. I did not want to pry to hard as I felt like I was going to snap the plastic. |

I have this same exact problem with my 2004 9-3 linear now. I was planning on changing out a fuse first --> anyone know what fuse it would be or is the problem more likely the bulbs? _________________ 2004 9-3 Linear |

Hold on before digging too far! My problem was a "DUH" moment. I had hit the headlight switch to a different position than normal. As a result, that position results in all of the symptoms I had described in my earlier post. Moved the switch back to the normal position...all fixed. Where's my sign? |

This fixed it! I'm so glad I didn't have to go digging in the dash and spending money on parts when I didn't need to. Why does the headlight switch do this? Sometimes I wonder why Saabs do what they do. What is the point of being able to turn off the climate control lights with a flip of the headlight dial? _________________ 2004 9-3 Linear |
