I took out the old thermostat on my 2001 Saab 9-3 and replaced it. If I remember correctly, when I took it out, the side of the thermostat with the spring was facing towards the tubing going to the radiator. The flat side was facing the engine. When I replaced it, I put the spring side facing the engine, and the flat side going towards the radiator. Which way is correct on my 01 Saab 9-3 SE? Which direction should it be facing?
