Clutch Bleeding help

Post by rgotham » Thu Jul 20, 2017 10:57 am

Just completed a motor swap in a 2002 Aero. We pulled the tranny along with the motor so obviously the clutch line was off for a few days and fluid drained out. Clutch was fine before the swap btw. After finishing the swap no matter what we do we cant bleed the clutch, we have tried vacuum bleeding, we have used and old cap with a valve stem in it to pressurize it what else is there to this. At one point the clutch built up pressure and worked for a little while then suddenly just dropped to the floor

I had read several threads where others have used the vacuum or pressure and it worked but i cant seem to get it to work. I do have some questions, when using pressure or vacuum should the pedal be up or down or should someone be pumping it? Please let me know any other tips i can try
