This was my first car, (purchased in 2009 with 71K miles) and after about a year and a half of unabashed liberty that I believe (as a current Hyundai driver), only a Saab can provide, I got into a minor accident that damaged the front end*. The damage from this accident has proven to be more expensive than I am currently able to manage, so I hope someone with a more stable financial situation will be able to fix her up and drive and enjoy her for themselves.
I'm no mechanic, nor am I able to translate what all the mechanics that have seen her into anything remotely comprehensible, but I'll do my best to describe her known faults.
-*There is some frame damage, and a dent in the hood. After the accident, my dad backed into her (couldn't see her in a Tacoma), which punctured the radiator. Hence, the air conditioning doesn't blow cold. Air will circulate, just no conditioning.
-The interior knob that changes the direction of the air flow has broken off; only where the knob connects to the inner switch, not the switch itself.
-The driver's window occasionally refuses to ascend - I think it might be its motor overheating, since after a while, the window will come back up.
-There is a leak somewhere in the trunk, my dad and I have tried to figure out where it is, using silicone sealant around the back light fixtures, but the inner trunk floor still gets wet.
-The front end suspension has been weakened, not during my ownership - I purchased the vehicle knowing there was an issue with the wheel bearings. Not that the car is undriveable, but you do hear clicks when going over speed bumps and whatnot.
Now despite all the above imperfections, let me describe her redeeming qualities.
-There are only 91,000 miles on her. Not too shabby for 15 years.
-Includes the original manual.
-New brakes installed and rear tires 2011 (unworn).
-Minimal to no rust. Anywhere.
-Paint: Silver. Very few nicks.
-Interior: all original, solid condition, only a minor tear in the passenger's seat.
-New radio antenna 2011. Purchased via this site after an unfortunate, albeit typical outcome from a careless drive through a car wash.
-VISIBLE SAAB EMBLEMS. From my travels, I've noticed these are rare among older Saabs. Protective UV stickers replaced what has disintegrated over the years.
