HEADRESTS REMOVAL |
Question: I've recently purchased some seat covers for my 96 SAAB 900 SE convertible and am perplexed as to how to remove the front and rear seats' headrests to fit them on. All I can find on the subject is something about screws inside the seats themselves or hidden in the back seat panel. I don't want to have to tear my seats up to put these covers on, so if anyone knows the correct way to remove the headrests, I'd be much obliged. Thanks and God bless. Answer: Does yours have clips that you simply push in and then remove headrest? Answer: There is a single clip on each front headrest that you press if you want to lower the height, but no other hardware (no clips at all on the backseat). I tried pressing this clip and pulling on the headrest, taking out the clip and pulling, but all to no avail. It just doesn't make sense to me that the only way to get these things out is to actually unscrew them from inside the seat--no techs or dealerships would want to go through all that trouble. Answer: By pressing in clip it should remove the headrest the headrest goes into 2 black sleeves. That should be the only thing holding the headrest in. They can be a real pain though. |
