ALTERNATOR REPLACEMENT

To remove alternator on 4 Cylinder Cars

STEP 1

Remove the battery cover and disconnect the negative battery cable.

STEP 2

Raise the car off the ground

STEP 3

Remove the engine cover (lower)

STEP 4

Drain the coolant from the radiator into a drain pan

STEP 5

Remove the nuts from the wheel arch liner & move aside

STEP 6

Unload the belt tensioner and take off the belt & lower the car back down

STEP 7

Remove the upper engine cover & remove the connector from the control module

STEP 8

Remove the engine control module

STEP 9

Remove the air hose from the air filter housing

STEP 10

Remove the cover of the air filter housing & remove the filter

STEP 11

Unplug the connector from the pressure sensor

STEP 12

Remove the intake air pipe from the air filter housing and lift up the housing Remove the coolant hose from the engine and radiator & position it to the side

STEP 13

Remove the vent hose from the air hose to the throttle body

STEP 14

Bend aside the vent hose

STEP 15

Remove the alternator connections, alternator bolts and remove the alternator

STEP 16

Remove up the alternator

STEP 17

Refit in reverse
