THERMOSTAT REPLACEMENT V6

Removal of 6 Cylinder thermostat

STEP 1 Lift up car
STEP 2 Remove Front skid plate cover under car (center one)
STEP 3 Open coolant reservoir (WARNING IF HOT LET COOL OFF!)
STEP 4 Drain coolant
STEP 5 Lower car back to ground
STEP 6 Remove upper engine cover, upper intake, mid intake & lower intake (15 ftlb torque)
STEP 7 Remove air mass sensor and hose to intake
STEP 8 Remove & move the turbo pipe out of the way
STEP 9 Remove the dipstick thermostat pipe
STEP 10 Remove the thermostat housing & thermostat (14.7 ftlb torque)
STEP 11 Refit in reverse

Note: the thermostat and sensor is located on the driver side under the air plenum. You will need either the intake manifold gasket kit or intake
manifold gasket itself.
