AC CONDENSER REMOVAL & INSTALLATION

[93 03-07]

Place car on a lift
Raise the car or laydown on the ground and remove the lower engine cover
Remove the inner fender liner by loosening the 3 screws that secure it
Evacuate AC System with a recovery unit
Remove compressor hoses and block both hoses so a minimal amount of moisture will get in them
Release the tensioner by pulling it back and inserting a drill bit or the like
Remove the belt assembly
Remove the hose clamp from the intercooler pipe and move the hose down out of the way
Remove the screws that hold the intercooler pipe to the oil pan & move the pipe out of the way
Remove the compressor hose connector & the connection from the compressor being sure to plug the openings
Remove the compressor and re-install in reverse & tighten bolts to 18 ft lb of torque
Install the AC hose and torque to 13 ft lb of torque
Refit intercooler hoses
Refit belt & inner fender lining
Evacuate & recharge with approximately 2.5 lbs of freon
