The purpose of the Saab Information Display unit is inform the driver of information regarding the following: Outside Air Temperature, Steering wheel controls (some cars), Engine coolant level, washer fluid levels, front light monitoring, interior light rheostat monitoring & interior light level monitoring.
Removal of SID Unit
| STEP 1 | Remove the Radio (you can often do this by pushing from rear through ashtray slot) |
| STEP 2 | Remove the SID by pushing it out from the rear |
| STEP 3 | Unplug the connector on the back |
| STEP 4 | Keep in mind that this unit must be married to the car with a Saab tech 2 tool (not all cars) |
