FRONT WHEEL HUB REMOVAL

Removal of Front Wheel hub

STEP 1

Lift up the car & remove the front wheel & hub nut

STEP 2

Push on the outside of the drive shaft so that it loosens from the hub

STEP 3

Press in the piston by prying against the brake pads with a screwdriver

STEP 4

Do the same thing against the rotor to give some space between the caliper yoke and the rotor (Caliper torque 210 Nm)

STEP 5

Remove the brake caliper and hang it from the spring out of the way

STEP 6

Remove the brake disc lock bolt and lift off the brake disc.

STEP 7

Remove the ABS wheel sensor torque 90 Nm + 45 degrees

STEP 8

Remove the bolt securing the holding arm ball joint to the steering knuckle & pull out the joint pin

STEP 9

Place a drive/wedge between the arm and the sway bar to hold down the arm

STEP 10

Pull the drive shaft out from the hub and lift the hub and steering knuckle from the shaft
