Every Saab has jacking points behind the front wheels and in front of the rear wheels. Those jacking points are designed for you to insert the manual adjusting jack that is provided by Saab and located in the trunk. You can also use these pivot points to jack up the car using a hydraulic jack.
NOTE: You can also use the rear axle and the front suspension cradle to jack up the car. We only recommend doing this to support the car with Jack stands ONLY. NEVER use the rear axle or the front suspension as support points because they have moving parts.

 | I recently had the misfortune of having a front tire go flat along an interstate highway. Shortly after I raised the car and removed the tire - I stepped back to rest and luckily so. The jack suddenly gave way and the car crashed to the ground. The car was so low to the ground at that point I was unable to get another jack under there. I had to call a tow truck to come lift the front end so I could get the spare on. If I had not stepped back when I did - I could have very easily lost a foot, hand or leg. The piece of plastic on the top of the jack broke and the jack collapsed. We have not seen any issues at all with the Jacks but be aware that a possible issue could exist. |
