Cabin Air Filter Replacement

[Saab 900 2.0T, 900 2.3NT, 900 2.5i, 93]

The 93 and 94-98 900 Cabin Air filter replacement procedure should be similar. The cabin air filter should be changed every 30,000 miles. (Special Thanks to Fred Frigo for taking the time to develop this page) The cabin air filter cleans outside air before it goes into your air conditioner or heating system.

First, you must remove the windshield wipers to allow removal of the "false-bulkhead". Use a 13mm Rachet. There is a plastic cap over the bolt that must be gently lifted up. This can be difficult since dirt can cause it to be stuck.

Gently remove the rubber caps over the wiper transmission arms and the weatherstrip moulding that holds the false bulk head down.

After both windshield wipers are removed, the false bulkhead can be removed.
