| NOTE: Thermo fan Switch failures can generally be identified by noting that the electric cooling fans are coming on late. The needle on the temperature gauge will be at approximately 3/4 toward the red. This is an indication that the resistance in the thermo switch is excessive. Part number 8547572/75/82/87 can be interchanged with your original switch with no problems (in most cases the OES switch was 89 Degree). The cooler switch 8547572/82/87 is recommended in warmer climates. Going to the 75 Degree switch in very hot climates will cause the fan to come on more often which will also keep the engine running cooler but it will also cause the fans to run much longer after cutting off the car.The 87 degree switch is very versatile and can be used for colder climates and hotter climates as well. | ||||
