Ignition Switch Replacement

[Saab 95]

STEP 1

Remove the center console & lock 4th gear and secure trans in 4th gear

STEP 2

Remove the pinch clamp that hold the shifter rod to the transmission rod under the hood

STEP 3

Remove the gear lever housing

STEP 4

Lift out the housing and unplug electrical connections

STEP 5

Remove the locking plate on the bottom of the shifter housing

STEP 6

Remove the spring that holds the lock plate and unclip the arm that controls the lockplate at the bottom

STEP 7

Remove the ignition switch which contains the electrical portion as well

STEP 8

Refit in reverse
