Question: My 95 ignition key has locked and will not turn, I have unlocked the park, but the key is stuck in the "lock" position. Has anyone had this problem and how did they rectify it, does it need a new ignition? should I check the park lock? Or did it break internally. I lubed the key slot, did not help. BTY: I had to force the key back to lock to remove it and now won't do anything. Car stuck in yard, unhappy wife with no car.... NOT GOOD.
Any help would be great, don't want to send the car to Saab!
Answer: sounds like u need to replace ignition switch the electrical part of switch
Answer: So I removed the console assy and found that the electric part of the switch is fine, but the ignition key assy has locked up internally.

Another Saabsite User tip: I had this problem too. It seems that for me the problem was the fit between the key and the ignition. I put WD-40 and ground graphite (I don't know what this product is, it was provided by a friend) in the ignition and then tapped the key softly with a hammer to induce the fit. After taking the key in and out a few times I was able to turn the key again and it
hasn't been a problem since.

Also have had this problem alot, have a 2001 95 wagon, with kids spilling drinks/food in car. I will take key out and it won't disengage. So I spray WD-40 all around key switch and then it will pop out and all is fine!!!
