Question: Hello, since a few weeks now my alarm is going off randomly. I changed the batteries in the siren hoping that it would fix the problem; my Saab 95 is a 2000 model. The alarm went off now and again, never all the time, and after changing the batteries it still acts the same way. I also tried deactivating the glass break sensor, and the alarm still goes off, maybe, 20mis or 1hour after. I really donâ't know what to do next, could it be one of the door contacts is faulty, I checked them all and all seem ok, I would appreciate any tips, or directions to follow, can I change the sensitivity of the Alarm, if so how do I do that, is there anything else I could change out, any tips are welcome.
Answer: ck under the drivers seat where the alarm ecm is and see if it is wet water will sometimes get inside the ecm
Answer: Hi! I had this problem last year. I had to unfortunately take mine to the dealership and have my alarm replaced. It cost me about $600.00. the bad thing was that my alarm went off when I was not home and drained the battery. Be careful about disableing the alarm I think our cars have an ignition kill on them. Hope it helps I am by no means an expert just a casualty.
Answer: if the ecm is not wet look at the siren. 85% of the time it is the siren
Solution: We fixed it by replacing a faulty siren
