1. Put fender covers over the fenders 2. Remove the black cover over the engine 3. Remove the battery, cover and tray 4. Remove the distribution block for the electrical and move aside 5. Remove the holder connectors 6. Remove the transmission Hose 7. Put the gear selector in Low and remove the cable from the transmission 8. Remove the cable clamp with a screwdriver 9. V6: Detach the cable channel from the engine and transmission casing. 10. Remove upper gearbox bolts for the gearbox. (the factory tool is 8792723 Access tool) 11. Clean the dipstick tube housing to insure that no dirt gets in it. 12. Remove the tube 13. Unplug the oxygen sensors connectors (year determines how many) 14. Remove the nut from the rear mount 15. Remove the two rear mount bolts. The 3rd one is not accessible yet 16. Support the engine with a lifting support 17. V6 cars only. Place the lifting arms at the front and rear of the cylinder head 18. Lift the car up 19. Remove the front wheels 20. Remove the engine cover (lower) 21. Remove the exhaust header pipe being careful not to damage the oxygen sensors 22. Remove the rear engine bracket and the rear engine mount 23. Remove the power steering screws that hold the rack to the subframe 24. Remove all the accessible clamps to the subframe for AC and power steering hoses 25. Remove the air cleaner housing attached to the subframe 26. Remove the engine oil cooler to intercooler 27. Support the radiator so it does not get damaged 28. Remove the ball joint to steering knuckle bolts 29. Remove the upper ball joint bolts 30. Remove the torque arms and support plates from the subframe 31. Prepare the engine support to suppor the engine or subframe 32. Move the engine support under the engine to support it 33. Remove the remaining 4 subrame bolts 34. Lower the subframe a little and remove the last steering hose clamps 35. Remove the splash guard and the two bolts that hold the converter cover (4-cyl only). On the V6 Remove the converter access plate below the starter 36. Remove the converter bolts by turning the converter to expose each one 37. Remove the gear box support the converter to prevent the it from falling out 38. Remove the battery cable ground 39. Remove the transmission mount torque arm which includes the bracket 40. Drain the transmission fluid and re-install the plug (if equipped with one) (30 ft lb of torque) 41. Remove the oil cooler hoses and plug them to prevent dirt entering them 42. Remove both driveshafts (the factory tool is part number 8792616) 43. Support the driveshaft with mechanics wire or a tie wrap 44. Lower the car back to the floor 45. Remove the drivers support pad 46. Lower the transmission a little to get it past the cross-member 47. Lift the car back up 48. Support the transmission with a transmission tool or similiar 49. Remove the last transmission bolts and pull out he transmission
Support the engine with an upper engine support

Remove the suspension support from from underneath

Remove the Driveshaft nut and pull back and support he sturt housing

Pop out the driveshaft
