Question: I have a 2002 93 se conv. it will boost just fine sometimes... other times when I give it enough gas to where it'll normally boost, the boost needle will be on the border of boost and vacuum, or sometimes a tiny bit of boost. when this happens I notice if I let off the gas and then get back on it, it will boost full again as if nothings wrong. I have checked the waste gate by unplugging the line to the solenoid and seeing if I easily boost, it doesn't make any difference (randomly doesn't want to boost, then, off gas, on gas, and...boost!) sometimes I will have to go on and off the gas more than once. I also checked my bypass valve..no problem at all. Could this be my boost solenoid acting up?
Answer: If you take disconnect the line to the waste gate it should go to full boost ck the turbo shaft for looseness
Answer: I disconnected the line to the waste gate, the same problem arose with inconsistent boosting. I made sure not to let off when I saw the boost getting to high without the WG connected. though the same thing happened where I would give it gas... sometimes it would boost, other times it wouldn't...I'd let off and then get back on it and then it boosts just fine. no shaftplay either. Is a new BPC in order?
Answer: Replace the bpc valve
