Question: I have a 2004 93 1.8 Linear and recently the cabin fan has been squeaking every time it is turned on. It sounds like there is something lose in it. Can anyone give me any advice on how to replace it or fix it?
Answer: U must take the glove box out then the fan sits there. There are several bolts in it that have to come out and it just slides out. Not too tough really.
Diagnostic Test: If the fan is not coming on check fuse #18 on driver side dash to be sure it is ok.Ck the fan module that sits beside the fan. It will be square shape. Remove the glove box and you will see the fan and the fan module plugs into the side of it takes about 15 min to change. Put 12 volts to the fan motor directly to be sure the fan works. If it does work with 12V applied then the controller is likely faulty and must be replaced.
