Engine Oil Change

STEP 1

Remove the engine cover upper

STEP 2

use a screw driver to uplug the connector for the Atmospheric pressure sensor and the MAP Sensor and move them aside

STEP 3

Remove the oil filter cover (using tool number 8396129 4 cylinder cars)

STEP 4

Raise the car and put a catch can under where the oil will leak

STEP 5

Remove the drain plug to drain

STEP 6

Refit drain plug and new drain washer if needed. Torque plug to 18 ft lb of torque

STEP 7

Lower the car and replace the filter insert and Oring (lubricate the oring)

STEP 8

Filter the filter cover and tighten to 18 ft lb

STEP 9

Plug the sensors back in and reposition

STEP 10

Fill with approximate 4.5 quarts of oil. Start and recheck the oil level. Top off as needed after running for 45 seconds.

STEP 11

Refit the upper engine cover.
