| NOTE: Transmission failures on the typically because the pinion bearings in the rear of the transmission wear out. When they are worn completely out the car will stop when trying to back up. Once you have reached this point the transmission will likely no longer be buildable. If you catch the pinion bearing early enough the transmissions are easily buildable. Early detection can be identified by noting that a wiring noise occurs in 4th or 5 gear much like a backlash noise in the transmission. | ||||
