| NOTE: Cabin control knob failures are often the result of a binding heater box. You can replace the knob but you may eventually have to do something with the heater box as well. Issues exist with the box which creates the knob problem. Only the right shaft can be replaced. If the other side is messed up as well you must replace 5174685 depending on the car you have. Knob failures are common but generally indicate that the vent housing is in a bind causing them to fail. The knobs are fairly inexpensive in comparison to replacing the housing so most people choose to replace the knobs. | ||||

| NOTE: Receiver drier failures can be identified by removing the lines and noting that a sand like substance is throughout the system. This is an indication that the desiccant bag has come apart. | ||||
| NOTE: A/C compressors are common failures. Leaking end seals are the typical issue. This problem can generally be identified by noting whether or not there appears to be a band of fluid located directly above the A/C compressor on the hood | ||||
| NOTE: This switch is a normally closed switch and shuts the AC off when the temperature exceeds a preset temperature. Failures can be identified by checking with a voltage meter. | ||||
| NOTE: 26246KIT Includes: 59976 Low Side Adapter(1), 59977 1/4' High Side Adapter (1), 59978 3/16' High Side Adapter(1), Gaskets, O-Rings. Receiver-, Ester Oil expansion valve drier/accumulator are not included (order separately). Converting to R134A is the best bet in the long run. R12 Freon is approximately $45.00 a lb and the most systems requires 2.25 lbs of Freon to charge. | ||||
| NOTE: Expansion valves are notorious for clogging especially when A/C Compressors fail. They should be replaced when Compressor or receiver dryer replacement is necessary. | ||||

| NOTE: On all the condensers you must be extremely careful when removing the hoses. When you remove the Upper and Lower AC hoses to the condenser you will destroy the condenser threads because the nut on the AC hoses are steel and the condenser threads are Aluminum or alloy. This is quite common and this will cause you to have to replace the hoses (upper and lower). In some cases you may be able to clean out the lower hose threads to remove any aluminum that is in the threads PRIOR to installing the OLD hose on the new condenser. MAKE SURE YOU DO THIS PRIOR TO INSTALLING THE HOSE. WE cannot replace a condenser under warranty if you make this mistake!!! | ||||
