| NOTE: Prior to the mid 1980's all engines used gaskets between the block and the engine covers etc... but as technology advanced and the fitments began to have closer tolerances engine designers began to use sealant instead of gaskets. The sealants we recommend for assembling engines, timing covers, areas of valve covers, etc.... is anaerobic sealant. When the oxygen is taken away from the sealant it begins to seal. The most commonly used is the Loctite 518 but the gray is equally used and has a higher temp range. | ||||

| NOTE: Transmission failures on the typically because the pinion bearings in the rear of the transmission wear out. When they are worn completely out the car will stop when trying to back up. Once you have reached this point the transmission will likely no longer be buildable. If you catch the pinion bearing early enough the transmissions are easily buildable. Early detection can be identified by noting that a wiring noise occurs in 4th or 5 gear much like a backlash noise in the transmission. NOTE: Shipping charges will depend on your location!
