ACC PROBLEM

[9000]

Question: I don't have an owner's manual for my car, but I do have one for the 1993 and the process for calibrating the ACC does nothing. I don't know if I am supposed to do this with the car on or off, with the AC on or off. but I have tried in every combination I can think of and when I push the auto and the side vents button together, absolutely nothing happens. Same thing if I hold those buttons in for a few seconds, or many seconds. That is problem 1. Problem 2 is that yesterday my car started only blowing hot air. It does this in both auto and econ at every setting from "lo" up through max. Outside temperature is mid-50's, but when I set it on "lo" in both econ and auto it blows very hot air into the car. I assume this is a mechanical issue and not a sensor issue. Perhaps a flap is stuck in the wrong position or a motor is not moving a flap?

Answer: Check the blend door motors behind the glove box. You likely find one of these to be faulty. On the cars with no glove box the Airbags have to come out to access the motors though.......
